Razor companies have finally reached a ridiculous point at how many blades they can fit onto one razor. As such, most replacement heads cost just as much as a whole new razor!

Let's take it old school and return to the single blade.

In this video I take an old cutthroat I bought off eBay for £5 (and that came with 2 blades) and I create a nice new wooden handle.

Cheaper than a new razor, and if kept sharp, you will never need to buy replacements!

Any wood can be used, just ensure it is sealed with a waterproof finish. On this particular project I use a water resistant danish oil.
I used 2 small nails to hold the whole thing together, cutting off excess and mushrooming the end with a hammer to prevent it from slipping out.
